Elaine Hagan

Associate Dean, Entrepreneurial Initiatives, UCLA Anderson School of Management

Elaine Hagan is Associate Dean of the Harold and Pauline Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, which oversees teaching, research, extracurricular and executive development programs related to entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson School of Management.  Elaine joined the Price Center as its chief operating officer in 1991, assumed her role as executive director in 2003 and serves as a member of the Center's Board of Advisors.  In addition to her responsibilities within the Center, Elaine is actively involved in technology commercialization efforts at UCLA through the Technology and Innovation Partners (TIP) Program, and as an ex-officio member of the advisory committee for the UCLA Teaching Incubator, which is based in the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) on the UCLA campus.  She is also a member of the consortium advisory committee for the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities Program, offered at seven universities across the United States. 

 

Elaine has served as a resource and advisor to growing companies and entrepreneurial programs around the world, and works closely with the venture capital and private equity communities.  Previously, she worked in Stanford University's Office of Development, and served on the turnaround management team of a privately-held manufacturing firm in San Diego.  Elaine received her bachelor's degree from the University of California at Irvine, where she studied mechanical engineering and the social sciences.  She earned her MBA from UCLA Anderson.
